not really. You have to distinguish between concept studies and a real touchscreen phone project.

After Ruby project has been cancelled last summer, Benq Siemens continued to create concept studies of touchscreen phones, and published one project in Taiwan and won a prize.

These pictures belong to this public concept study competition (around September 2006).

I have heard numerous rumors, that almost EVERY mobile phone producers hare developping real touchscreen phones for 2008. One project is made public and "open source", like the FIC Neo 1973. FIC is a chinese notebook producer (see my signature). These devices will look more or less like in these mentioned pictures above.
