The Outlook synchronisation does not work for me. Is this uberhaupt possible? SmartSync keeps telling me that I can't connect to the phone. Sometimes I can transfer a bit: the I got a transfer error on my phone:
What I did so far:
+ changed in the MobilePhone Manager com 1 > com 3 (right one)
+ used s25@once to sync
On my phone I get this error all the time "Application locked during sync"
What can I do?
Thanks,
Michael

"Application locked during sync"
This message isn't a error, it means that you can't change any entrys in the Adressbook during syncronisation. This is a security realtet thing to avoid any syncronisationerrors.

US15, You're totally right. You see this message all the time, when connecting to the CX-65.But still I not able sync my CX-65 with Smart Sync.
What I already did: In the Mobile Phone Manager setup settings, I changed the com port to the virtual comport 14. (I've a 540 cable)
Still I am not able to peform a sync. I keep getting this error: "Verify that the phone is connected." The cable works fine, when uploading or downloading pictures.
THE BIG QUESTION:
Can Smart Sync handle usb-cables, like the 540? Maybe it's because Siemens does not suppor the UBS 540 cable, that I cannot perform firmware updates and synchronize with Outlook?
Is there anyone out there, syncing with a 540 cable?
Thanks for reaction,
mike

Why not to try first with IRDA, exclude Cable problems!
Check one problem a time !

From the info I got from bob.geko and Siemens support the CX65 is not supported by SmartSync...
Kinda strange since the M65 is supported, and from what I gather this is essentially the same phone as the CX65...
It is possible to use the sync software in "Siemens Data Suite" with CX65. (Downloadable from Siemens site from the page with software to the SL55...)
It is very shitty of Siemens not to support the CX65 in the newer software! Maybe we should sent some sort of protest to Siemens about this...
