My new data cable does not work with mobile phone manager

I have just recieved my new DCA-510 cable for my siemens cx65. The first thing i did was to update the firmware to version 12. I had no problems with that.

After that i wanted to try usig the phone with mobile phone manager which is the program you can see here http://www.siemens-mobile.com/cds/frontdoor/0,2241,hq_en_0_21219_rArNrNrNrN_prodId%3A24605,00.html#PC%20 Software%20and%20Drivers

When i have installed the program i just got the following message: "no mobile phone connected"?

What is the problem? Has it something to do with firmware 12?

this should work. btw: it takes a while after starting the MPM beofre it recognizes the phone. Be patient...

Sorry, my big mistake. It works now. I did not now that it was necessary to turn of the phone before it works... Sorry and thank you for your help.
