My pre-installed browser connects to the internet and downloads files with no problem. But ALL my other programs cannot access the internet! Either it says "No GPRS, or Cannot access internet or No connection ..."

Any hidden option here?

You need to check your settings for that area. You need a profile with full http support.
To change the java apps profile, enter the java apps menu, press 'options', then check the java settings.
You need to know the configuration from your network provider!

Thanks for the help. But where is that java apps menu?
When i am in my stuff/applications and i press options, there is one "java settings" there. And in there the only option is to select "Connection Profile".
The one chosen is the one chosen in my pre-installed browser too. But still non of my apps can connect to internet!

OK. Everything is doublechecked! Pre-installed browser connects without any problem. But still, ALL other programs (Google Maps, Opera, Nav4All, NavXS....) cannot connect. Is there any secret option in NV items i have to enable?

Please HELP!!!

Go into your My Stuff Folder and then under Applications "options" at one application --> "JAVA-Settings" Then take the Profile you want (normally it should have "WEB" or "JAVA" within its name) Then enjoy internet access of all Java-apps :up:

dracosc,
you need a WEB profile. A WAP profile doesn't work.

Connection and Internet Profiles
for Siemens SXG-75

You need to know your provider data but here is an example for (Germany Eplus)
I'm not sure about the Menu names in English. I translated it as good as possible from German

1) Connection Profiles:

Main Menu -> Settings -> Dataconnections -> Connection Profiles

a) (mark empty profile) -> Options -> Change

Name of profile: WAP gprs
APN: wap.eplus.de
Login: eplus
Passwort: wap (just stars appear)
Authentification: normal (choose)
DNS 1: 000.000.000.000
DNS 2: 000.000.000.000

Optionen -> save

b) (mark empty profile) -> Options -> change

Name of profile: WEB gprs
APN: internet.eplus.de
Login: eplus
Password: GPRS (just stars)
Authentification: normal (choose)
DNS 1: 212.023.097.002
DNS 2: 212.023.097.003

Options -> save

2) set Internetprofile:

Main menu -> settings -> dataconnections -> Internetprofile

(mark empty profile) -> Options -> change

Profilname: WAP gprs
Typ: wap (choose)
safety: none
Proxy-Server: 212.023.097.009
Proxy-Port: 9201
Login:
Passwort:

Options -> Save

3) set browser-profile :

main menu -> Internet -> settings -> browser-profile

(mark empty profile) -> options -> change

Profilname: WAP gprs
Connectionprofile: WAP gprs (choose)
Internetprofile: WAP gprs (choose)
Startpage: http://wap.eplus.de

Options -> Save

4) googlemaps Java-Net setting:

after downloading!

Main menu -> Media Pool -> applications

(mark googlemaps, don`t start!)

Options -> Java 'Net-settings

connection profile: WEB gprs (choose)

Options -> Save

Try it.

Your browser should work on WAP, but googlemaps and nav4all need the WEB.

Tried that but still, Google maps shows " This program requires a data connection......."
What else can i do?

My APN is cytamobile
Login: user
Password: pass
Proxy server: 212.31.96.16
Proxy port: 9201 (and for HTTP is 8080)

Please tell me with my settings again what i have to do!

Sometimes i think i am stupid!!!! But then i remember that i was the first in Cyprus that connected a Siemens mobile to the internet in Cyprus.......

BTW: thanks for everyone helping!

Try this

Connection Profiles

Profilename: Test
APN: cytamobile
Login: user
Password: pass
Authentification: Normal
DNS 1: 000.000.000.000
DNS 2: 000.000.000.000

NO INTERNET PROFILE
NO Proxy etc.

Set the Java-Net to Testand save.
Then start the program

If this doesn't work someone who is using Vodafone may know better. (Isn't Cytamobile connected to vodafone?) They may handle GPRS different to eplus.

This didn't work.
I will check vodafone since Cyta and Vodafone are working together in Cyprus as "Cyta mobile Vodafone".

Thanks for the help!
