I bought ef81 yesterday and upgrade it on fw48 (EF81_IP15.0.1_de-VF-G_48_0113_3GSwupFU_SGLPK), and it work well, but

Now I cant do anything with phone!
All the time that message is on the screen.
Please help how to back ef81 in "life".

Read PDF in 3GSwup...
I suggest you to use 58.
Your problem is. NV items are damaged. NO PROBLEM.
Search for QCN or BRT to restore the items...
FIRST STEP. Restore items with QPST:

It seems that it is still not completely clear why we receive the error message "you have too many uninitialized nv items".
If this appears, the update software also write a log file concerning the nv items. Please look into your 3GWSUP Windows software folder and look for file with *.log - open it with the Windows notepad and read which items couldn't be backed up. It will typically read "3 of 771 nv items not backed up". This will help to estimate the range of the malfunction.
Best practice
It seems that most update problems are due to some still active background processes on the mobile phone. Therefore you will minimize disruptive effects if you follow these steps:
1) Install 3GWSUP software and connect the mobile on the USB data cable and check if the phone is detected. Resolve problems before going to step 2.
2) Disconnect mobile, take the battery out and wait 1-2 minutes before installing the battery.
3) Do not power on!!! Do not press any button!!! Do not open the clam lid!!! The phone should remain closed.
4) Connect the data cable to the mobile and wait till 3GWSUP detects the phone. (the phone may be charged up, this is normal behavior).
5) Do not f***ing touch the phone till the update process is completely over. You will see dialog messages on the mobile like PIN Code... but do nothing!!
6) If you still get error message, repeat the whole process from step 2) for at least 3 times before using the emergency update procedure described in the PDF file in the 3GWSUP Windows folder.

I tryed now again. But first to explain situation, I cant turn on my phone, when I put battery in it, FTM message shows up on display.
So I moved up battery, and after minute put it back, push # and button to turn on in download mode, then 3GSwupFV recongnize mobile, and I click on "update":
-Your phone does not have information about softer key
-phone in download mode (emergency DL)
-downloading softvare
-downloading CEFS
-reseting phone
-restoring BRT
-error during restoring BRT
(this is for fw58, maybe I should try to back him to fw48 )
Today when phone was in fw48 everything was normal, why the f..k I try to upgrade it to fw58.

I have been in this situation before, at updating from fw 39 to 48 last summer. I got this message "...too many uninitialized items". I had the alternative to interrupt or proceed the update. I proceeded and finished the update. Then I checked the mobile and couldn't detect a malfunction. The log file reports only 3 nv items out of 770 items couldn't be accessed.
Did you already checked the *.log file in the 3GWSUP Windows folder? how many nv items couldnt be initialized?

NO Panic...
Factory Test Mode can changed with different Tools...
For instance use BitPim:
Connect->right Mousebutton->Reboot Phone
Or use SXG75 Controller to get back to online Mode...
Or QPST...
Anyway. You have to Restore your NV items!!!! Because they are lost.
Restore this QCN:
http://forum.modopo.com/showpost.php?p=151891&postcount=10
BUT BACKUP NOW your own NV items before...

I done back up of Nv items.
Now I haw to restore items you give me.
When I try to restore BTAdr1111111 file, this window apears to me: "The model number in the QCN file and the phone dont match. Do you sill want to restore with this file?", and I click on NO, then i put other file wolf51, and then in
status bar shows: memory restore failed
errors: Spc given could not unlock the phone. The phone will not respond for 10 seconds.
What to do now? Phone is still connected, I couln exit program some message say that it coud unstable phone (or something like that).

Ok,ok, I understant that wolf51 should go and I done it.
First time I changed SPC nomber thats why memory restore failed.
Now phone started and heave network, camera...BUT when I enter menu
and try to go in the bottom three icons in menu in wont.
Then I pres "star"#06# and this is on display (in configuration):
product number:ef81
SW build: KE_1433_17.0.14
BREW version:3.1.3.17
Language group:0
HW ID:13
bootloader ver.:
KE_1433_17.0.14
Mobicon ini name:
mobican ini Xsum:0
default EFS name:
default NV ini:
script name:
NV ini name:
EFS name:
variant name:
SVN:58
so why there are none wrought, and why I cant go to the three bottom icons?
Should I try again to instal fw58?
Before that (this morning) on my phone was vodafone software, now is original BS software (Im happy for that) but may that be reason for malfunction?
I know that Im boring with all these question, but no one sevicers in town wont to work on this phone, they say that they dont know work with BS, so you are my last chanse

Forget the entrys under *#06#. They are crap. U can make your own entrys.
Because I don't understand what you mean with 3 Buttons??
Yes u can try again 3GSwup. But first I suggest you to Delete these 2 files.
qcsbl.mbn
qcsblhd_cfgdata.mbn
After 3GSwup is complete. Also entrys available under *#06#. This is what the file EF81_de-BRDHandel-std_58_0147.qsnv make.
Good luck.
BT adress set better by NV Editor or use QXDM... It is item 447

I had a problem, that required entering the Master Code (which I had from BS, and cost me quite a bit: € 1.5/minute, 11 minutes). After that, my phone was offline. I restored NV items, and everything works, but the phone stays on GSM and never picks UMTS. It seems bizarre, but that's what it is. Is there anything I can do?
Thanks in advance.

Collect the shown files from 3GSwup and try template_EF81.brt
By the way, forget my question. I found a message by Adfree, earlier in this thread, with a backup file for NV items; I loaded it and now everything works.
Thanks a lot.
