Hi. I read somewhere that the EF81 is compatible with a 2gb micro sd card. I now brought one. The problem is when I try to send songs/videos to my phone through MPM. Once 1gb capcity has been acheived it won't allow me to send any more, saying memory is low. Sending files outside of MPM is the same. When sending files directly to the micro sd card it is okay but when I insert the card back in the phone it won't read all the files eg I put 50 songs on the card but the phone only says there is 2 songs. I have no idea how to sort this out. The micro sd is a Sandisk card. I am sending files via cable. Is the EF81 really compatible with a 2gb card? HELP!

Yes it`s compatible, but you must do all in one step on the card. The best way is with a cardreader ;)

My pc has a cardreader. But when I transfer all the songs/videos I need through the cardreader to the micro sd card and then insert it back in to the phone it won't read along the songs/videos. It will only say 2 items in this folder when there should be more. Also sometimes it will just say cannot process media. I'm not sure whats going on.

Maybe there is another problem:
Filenames must not be longer the 32 characters, if they are, EF wont see the files.

Okay. I formatted the card on my pc. I also shortened the names of every song so it was less than 32 characters. I then inserted the card into the phone so it would create the folders sounds, pictures, video and misc. I then took the card out, place into the pc moved the songs across to the sounds folders and then placed it back into the phone and... still it won't show all the songs!

I have also tried it when I formatted the card and then put the songs on the card and finally putting the card into the phone and... still it won't show all the songs!

I am really don't know what to do? I have 173 songs. I don't if the problem is to do with actually songs, phone or memory card. I thought this phone redeeming feature would be the 2gb micro sd card. I'm slowly losing faith. Please somebody HELP!

I also have a 2GB card that I am using on my EF81 and I managed to get it to work. I am currently using about 1.2 GB on the card and I can see all of my files (sounds, pictures, videos, etc). When you format the card to the PC, make sure you choose FAT and not FAT32 when formatting. As far as using MPM, I don't use that, rather I transfer my files to the handy via bluetooth. I think the MPM program will limit the amount of data that will transfer to the card - just my opinion, but I could be wrong. When the phone reads the capacity, it will "see" 1 GB, but the free memory will be approximately 1936 MB. I think the capacity amount is "hard coded" into the handy's program, so it will always see 1GB regardless of the capacity of the memory card inserted.

I'm almost there! When I send just the songs they all appear but the last 15 don't work. It just says cannot process media. When I try to send it mp3 songs with 3gpp, some the songs don't appear and some of the videos don't work. When you format the 2gb card, do you put the files on straight away or do you insert it in the phone so it can create the folders. What does it mean cannot process media whenthe files are the correct type?

Thanks for everybodies help so far. I really appreciate it.
