First, I would like to introduce myself. I am trying to learn what I can about the MSM6500 based CDMA handsets. I don't like the restrictions of BREW. I have a RAZR V3m from Verizon Wireless.
I am currently concerned with 3 issues:
1) I recently flashed to a newer version monster file. I find that now there are two directories that are inaccessible: mmc1 and nvm. Some where in the EFS they locked them.
2)I have another phone that I flashed to Sprint firmware and then back to Verizon and it fails in the middle. Won't boot. No longer will flash ANY firmware. I suspect that the bad block section of the NAND flash chip is erased or corrupt.
3) I want to develop my own kernel as an alternative to BREW. I know they call the MSM6500 kernel 'REX' but I can find anything about it.
Thank you
