CX65 no more T9!

Hello boys!, I've sent my cx65 to the assistant in order to upgrade sw02 towards sw08. Now my phone has SW08, but I can't use T9 any more!! :evil: When I write a sms,or mms, I can only choose between "abc Abc ABC and 123"! How can I have my useful T9 back? Is there any chance to have it again?

yes, it'enabled, I can even choose what language I want to use. but I can't have the option in sms menu.
eg: go to Messages
create new
sms text
then press for a while #
in the menu 'entry mode' I have only abc 123 and no T9.

Who else has this problem too? I want to upgrade my cx65 to sw08 today but I can't leave without T9 :)

Is in the menu, where you can choose the T9-language, a little black icon after the language title? If there isn't one you have to copy the T9-files to the T9 system folder. Just write me a PM with your mail adress and I can send you my files...

you say in : "setup - display - text input", there I have the Selection "T9 preferred" with a sign, and I have "input language"; in the menu name I've "T9 input" as title and a T9 black icon on the left of it. If I chose Input language, I've the list of English, deutsch, francais, italiano ecc...
Before doing the upgrade, I made the backup of the phone, so I have the entire directory of the previous SW02, called "Mobile Folder".
Inside of this directory there is "data - system - T9". Do I have to restore this T9 directory? Thanks a lot and sorry for my english, I'm italian.

I have a CX65 FW08, T9 datafiles (*.ldb) are all in the folder DATA\SYSTEM\T9. So if you restore this folder, T9 should work then.

is this mean upgrade to version 8 will delete t9 file? and need to backup t9 file manually?

No. I have updated from FW04 to FW08 and no files were deleted.

Firmware update does not delete anything.

I restored T9 folder (I've made a backup before doing the upgrade) and now T9 is working! (T9 folder was even not present!!)
