this is the translation out of two threads here in the cx65 and m65 section how to debrand your cx/m65
I tested it with my cx65v (vodafone)
you' need
OD-Tool http://download.siemens-club.ru/files/x65/od.rar
S25@once or MPM it tested both
original contents of the "Config" folder http://www.mushyonline.de/Config_x65_ohne_Branding.zip
a xml editor (EDITING THE XML FILES WITHA TEXT EDITOR WON'T WORK)
of course a cx/m65 phone
now how to do
connect your phone (turned on) to the PC via cable or IrDa
start od.exe select your Com port, click "do it" button wait for message "done" and click "ok"
start S25@once or MPM and you'll find two additional folders "Config" and "Cache"
EVERYTIME YOU TURN YOUR PHONE OFF YOU'LL HAVE TO START WITH 2. AGAIN
BEFORE YOU GO ON MAKE A BACKUP OF THOSE TWO FOLDERS !!!
so now how to get rid of the branded right soft key
(always remeber I did it with a vodafone branded but should work with T-mobile branding too)
go to the folder \Config\Default\MagicLink
copy MagicLinks.xml to your PC or take the one you downloaded with the unbranded folder content
edit MagicLink.xml with xml editor
delete everything between <bml></bml>
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<!-- DOCTYPE bml SYSTEM "bml.dtd" -->
<bml>
</bml>
copy MagicLinks.xml back to \Config\Default\MagicLink
turn your phone off and on again
now the vodafone live or T-zone softkey button is gone and you can choose your own setting for the right softkey (left softkey is still fixed maybe we'll find a solution soon)
also all more sounds,pictures.... are gone
now to the menu icons
at the moment it doesn't really work with the vodafone version but lot of t- mobile owner wrote that it worked with their phone to change the icons into the original siemens icons
to the od.exe precedure again
replace everything in the \Config\japp\Flexmenu folder with the content of your downloaded \Config\japp\Flexmenu
restart your phone
with a vodafone phone only the arrangement of the icons changes with a t-mobile you'll shoud have the original siemens icons
and please don't ask me about guarantee :twisted:
thx to
sIngle author of od tool
monsun77 who wrote th german how to
mushy for the unbranded config content
and last but not least
to myself :lol:
