I bought my CX65 in Singapore and it says i have a CX6C. My language variant is S802. Can i change this firmware to the standard CX65 firmware as i have no use for the chinese language functionality.

No, it is not possible to exchange the CX6C SW with a CX65 standard SW. It is the same behaviour like trying to update a CX6V (vodaphone) SW with a standard SW.

This is a guess from you right? Donīt give up too early. I donīt think, that you can compare a branded mobile like CX65V with a localized model.

Try out:
http://www.siemens-mobile.com/com.aperto/MySiemens/Files/Specials/hq/CX65_Upgrade/main.html

and choose CX65 with variant A1. Should work (but no guarantee).

I also think that pb.joker is right. I read in another forum the same that someone with variant S802 updated his phnoe with variant A1

Just tried that with the download from the official Siemens site, the phone was detected and turned off, and then it could not be detected again. I have the USB cable DCA-510, that was bought directly from Siemens, and It emulates a serial port as seen on the device manager. If i try the version 08 firmware from GSM-Multifund, it asks me if i want to flash the CX65 firmware onto the CX6C phone, but i was too scared to try it, i don't want to end up with a useless phone. Anyone else want to try, or have any other suggestions
