i'm using this application to read and edit text files (among other things), and it works well with the m65. m65's an ideal phone to store ebooks which you can read anytime (i even have three ebooks installed). anyone interested can get trhv's latest microreader at http://home.c2i.net/thvoslef/midlets/sw/MicroReader-1.3a.zip

on another note, is there a freeware scientific calculator that is already available for use?

try:
http://home.c2i.net/thvoslef/midlets/sw/
or better:
http://home.c2i.net/thvoslef/midlets/mr-download.html
then search for your favorit version.

Best working with M65: this (http://home.c2i.net/thvoslef/midlets/sw/MicroReader-S55.zip)one.

the one for s55 doesn't work with the m65 - it has some problems with the directory. trhv made some changes and came up with the 1.3a edition.

anyone interested to have a copy can send me a pm, just include your email address. i'll try to respond at the soonest.

best regards.

it WORKS perfect on MY M65! (FW16)

yo have to create a folder named "MicroReader" like this:
/java/jam/MicroReader

put your text-files in this folder too.

so did and it worx (fullscreen, with full functionality)

Copy that - but to no avail on my M65 FW16: anytime I start to open files all I got is: 'couldn't open dir "."'. New created files and the help file are accessable, readable and editable.

More ideas?

P.S.: I found ReadManiac (just reading, no editing) and it works fine.

The most important new feature (apart from working on 65 series phones at all is support for a couple of compressed text formats: Palm DOC (.pdb, .prc) and TCR.

Get more info and download the program from http://home.c2i.net/thvoslef/midlets .

Sounds great: Palm and Siemens seemed always a good team for mobile computing (accessing e-mails via palm and me45 was fun!) - ah! don't forget the IR-port to exchange files from both devices.

Best
