You can record 1 minute of video. Just do the following:
1. You have to have FW12 at least
2. Under the settings for video put "MMS compitability"
3. Go to Message setup/MMS setup/User settings/
4. Put all size indications to 000 and the tab next to them to "Lim."
5. Now you should be able to record 60 sec of video though the max size will be indicated depending on your free space

I wonder how do they discover these things
But, how can you see the available length?
How can you go more than 1 minute?
I can do just 1 minute precisely, no longer.
However 1 min is enough for me
Thank you very much guy(s).

I didn't say you can record more than 1 min. The max duration for a single clip is ONE minute only  . The time the other guys are speaking about ( 2,3,...,5 min) is for the total available time for recording concernig the available lenght in other words if you have 3.30 min displayed it means that you can record 3 clips of 1 min and one clip of 30 sec.

someone verified this?
With my FW14 the Video recording always stops after 17/18 or 30 seconds...
I tried five times: 17,18,30,30,18 seconds...
very annoying

My camera shows 4:43 min. But I can only record 0:30 min. Then it stops. I use FW12.

Great, seems to me that I already have a "later version" of SW12: I can take videos up to 58s. Everytime, everyday, no restrictions

My CX65 doesn't count seconds (or minutes, but you said only 1 max, so it would never show more than 1) while it records a mini movie.
It always displays "0 min." while recording.
Only at the end it says "1 min." but then other commands appear.
It displays the max voice recording time in minutes and the max number of pictures available.

It is no fake I can prove it to you. The real problem is that it doesn't record always 1 min but I don't know why. Though 70% of the tries ended on 1 min :)

hehehe... i had to go to babelfish to translate this one to english :D and this is what came out:
"Hmm, but the announcement is not correct. Goes with me from over 6min on scarce over 1min down, although the free memory grew! But I can take up nevertheless longer than it indicate. To 1:44/1:20 tested, then broken off."
telekomiker, the mobile uses only 1 digit for the minutes, so even if you have 11:20 or 21:20 left (depending on available memory), it would still indicate 1:20. i think one minute eats up from 350kb to 400kb of memory.
btw, is your phone either an m65 or a cx65? i read that you can't get longer than 1 minute with both... except with the s65.

Hi, people. This is my first time here. It's really good, for a change, to see members freely exchanging ideas and tips - great forum :D !
I am from Portugal and have a branded CX65 with FW12, Variant A115.
My question is: videos are stored in the phone with an extension ".3gp". Is this format convertible to a more 'standard' one (wmv, avi, mpg) that can be read on a different device (pocketPC, desktop PC)?

I also found this site with instructions on how to convert 3gp to avi:

Sorry it's a Nokia  site!
