OD tool with USB data cable

In an other discussion i read that it was possible to use the program OD tool with an USB data cable.

shutter sound in FW12

It is difficult to see what i have written in this discussion so therefore i have decided to make this one.

But the problem is that there only are two oportunities in OD tool when using the program. I can only have COM1 and COM2 as the oportunities. The question is, how do i use this program with an USB data cable?
