Du meinst neben dem guten Gefühl endlich ein wirklich offenes OS zu haben, so wie Symbian es mal versprochen hatte und dann mit der 3rd Edition doch ein, im Grunde, zugeknöpftes OS hingeklatscht hat?
Kann mich dunkel erinnern das du da vor kurzem noch andere Töne angeschlagen hattest.

Aber doch echt schade, dass es so kompliziert bei 3rd ist. Bei 1nd konnte man einfach mit dem FExplorer das Logo ändern ohne da noch irgendwas umstellen zu müssen.

Geht jetzt wieder.
Genauso wie man jetzt auch unsignierte Anwendungen installieren kann.

Vorstellbar ist da sicher so manches, z.B. Systemtöne ändern, Icons direkt im Filessytem ändern, unütze vorinstallierte Programme kicken usw...

Da muss jetzt eben geforscht werden, mal schauen was noch alles gehen wird. Kommt Zeit, kommt Nutzen.

Hab im HowTo noch die CapsOnOff Anwendungen hinzugefügt, welche alternativ zum Profiler verwendet werden können.
Damit kann man den Zugriff auf die Systemdateien auch wieder sperren ohne das Gerät neuzustarten.

hallo...zunächst mal danke für die super anleitung...kleines problem besteht leider noch....hab soweit das meiste auf das handy drauf...nur der ordner fehlt..bedeutet das noch nicht gehackt ist.....wie bzw. welche datei (wo bekomme ich diese) Python Script, muss ich wo ausführen...das verstehe ich nicht..im explorer fehlen einige dateien unter privat..würde mich über eure hilfe freuen..danke!

hab zwar die hack_perms_s60v3_FP1 datei....aber wie zum kukuk bring ich das zum laufen, dass!!!! candid!!!! usw. kommt...mensch...??!!!

Hier mal noch die Files für die preFP1 Geräte, neben App TRK muss hier zusätzlich noch HelloCarbide.sis installiert und die HelloCarbide.exe von Hand in C:\ verschoben werden.
Ich kanns selber, mangels Gerät, nicht ausprobieren, aber vielleicht hat ja jemand lust dazu?

Ich habe es bei meinem N71 und N92 erfolgreich ausprobiert.

Beim N93 funktioniert es aber leider nicht.
Dies ist auch schon bei symbian-freak bekannt. Der Author arbeitet an einer Lösung für N93.

Ist natürlich ärgerlich mit dem N93, aber da tut sich bestimmt noch was, auf UIQ3 soll es ja auch schon gehen.

Ich häng das mal hier mit dran, ein neuer Thread dazu wird sich wohl kaum lohnen.

Wem der gelbe Standard Ordner im Menü zu langweilig ist kann sich sein Menü mit den Ordner Icons aus anderen S60 Geräten erweitern.
Die Menüstruktur wird in der appshelldata.xml festgelegt, diese findet man unter: c:\private\101f4cd2\content\appshelldata.xml
Die Ordner Icons selber liegen als *.mif in:
z:\resource\apps\Menu.mif

Wenn man sich die appshelldata.xml auf den Rechner zieht und in einem Editor öffnet sieht sie z.B. so aus:

Dies ist also der "Office" Folder auf meinem E51.


Um das Menu mit neuen Folder Icons zu erweitern sind die icon_id, mask_id und der Dateipfad für die *.mif wichtig.
Die *.mif Files mit den neuen Icons speichert man irgendwo auf c:\, z.B. unter c:\resource\apps\.
Um einen Ordner "GPS" mit dem GPS-Foldericon aus dem E90 zu bekommen muss der Folderstring z.B. so aussehen:

Diesen String kann man direkt als Standard String für neue Ordner nehmen, man muss hier lediglich die Namen, den Dateipfad und die Icon ID's ändern.

Im Anhang sind die *.mif Files aus dem E90, dem N95 8GB und dem 6120C, daraus lässt sich ein Menü mit insgesamt 15 verschiedenen Ordner Icons basteln.
Die Icon ID's sind folgende:

Die mask_ID ist immer jeweils +1.

Als Beispiel hänge ich noch meine appshelldata.xml aus dem E51 mit an, diese aber bitte nur als Beispiel nehmen, da darin halt auch alle installierten Anwendungen enhalten sind. Man sollte sich also auf jeden Fall die *.xml aus dem eigene Gerät ziehen und entsprechend editieren!
